Traffic leading into town from the close off (Foord to Beneden) will detour into Foord Street, will turn right into Benoni street, left into Scheiding street, right into Middel street , and into Beneden Street, leading to the taxi rank.

The Rustenburg Local Municipality will be undertaking road improvements for the proposed Rustenburg Rapid Transport (RRT) in Central Business District (CBD) from the beginning of 13th February 2017. The planned construction works will be done simultaneously, to minimize disruption to motorists, businesses and pedestrians. We appeal for patience from all our Stakeholders during construction.
The year 2016 is an important milestone in the history of our great nation as it marks the 40th anniversary of the 1976 Soweto student uprisings. These uprisings tragically ended with hundreds of young people losing their lives at the hands of the apartheid government, when they protested against the imposition of Afrikaans as a medium of instruction.
The Rustenburg Municipality through the implementation of the Rustenburg Raid Transport project, which aims to improve people’s lives through a safe, reliable, affordable, clean and sustainable transport system will be commencing construction within the CBD and Tlhabane soon.
As another year comes to a close and the festive season is well upon us, we have an opportunity, once again, to reflect on the year gone by.
